Wall Street jumps as S&P rises to 4-month high


S & P 500 closed at their highest level in four months on Monday after breaking the long-awaited technical set up and a wave of positive news for the companies increased investor optimism.
* The Dow Jones industrial average was 145.77 points, or 1.37 percent, to 10,753.62. The index jumped Standard & Poor’s 500 (SPX 17.11 points, or 1.52 percent, to 1,142.70. The Nasdaq Composite Index IXIC 40.22 points, or 1.74 percent, to 2,355.83.
